A law office in a Nannig County town that’s closing for good has been in business for nearly three decades, and the owners of a local restaurant say it’s been an inspiration to others.
Lawyer Stephen Nennigs and his partner at Nennigan’s Law Office, Andrew Cuda, have been partners since 1998, when the pair opened their Nennigans Steakhouse restaurant in the town of Nennies, just north of Grand Junction.
The Nennigg family had been struggling to pay bills, Nennings said.
“I think it’s an opportunity for others,” Nennis said.
“There are a lot of local businesses that have gone through that.”
The Nennagises have seen the effects of the closure of some of their other restaurants in the area.
The restaurant in Grand Junction closed in December.
Nennes said that while he thinks of the business as his own, his partners felt it was important to keep it open.
“It gives us something to focus on,” he said.
The owners of Nannigans Steakhouses have been planning a new venture in the Nannigan Valley for the past three years.
It is scheduled to open in early 2018.
They are also trying to find a location for a new law office.
They are still seeking an address, but they are hoping to open a new location in 2019.
“We are trying to keep this as a unique community,” Cuda said.
