Updated May 24, 2019 15:23:53 Hoglung’s Law office has closed following the death this week of a 41-year-old woman.
The case was referred to the Hoglunda Police Force after the victim’s husband received a call on Thursday morning reporting his wife had been stabbed to death.
The woman’s husband, who was not injured, then called police.
Hoglunas police spokesman Jari Olukonen said a warrant had been issued for the arrest of the suspect and that his next court appearance was scheduled for next Monday.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning and the woman was found with stab wounds to her chest, abdomen and lower legs.
Police have not released the names of the woman’s boyfriend and her husband.
Hoggund Police said the couple had lived together for the past five years and had been married for seven years.
The victim’s boyfriend was not hurt.
He said he had never been in contact with the suspect.
Hoglund Mayor Rolf Kjosgaard said the victim was the second victim of an apparent murder-suicide in the city in the past year.
The city is on high alert following a spate of killings of men and women in the last year.
“It’s very sad, but we can’t let this be the new normal.
There are a lot of other crimes to be solved and we have a lot to do,” Kjokstad said.
